Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

Rainy and cool day on Friday, but Saturday was really nice and we got a lot of work done in the yard at home, and down at the camp we take care of.  It was nice to be out, except for trying to get out of my chair that night…  We also brought our camper home after its winter stay down by the lake.  Drove along a road by the canal in Hancock on Saturday and actually got to see some real green leaves – quite exciting to see!  😊

It looks like this may be moving week for Rob and Pam.  Very excited to have them get moved in down in Watersmeet.  We helped with a load of boxes a couple of weeks ago, and this week it looks like they’ll have a moving van on Friday to move their larger items.  Please continue to pray for them as they begin to minister, in person.  They have been doing some things on-line and via telephone…still it will be great to be living down there!  Pam’s ready to get her garden started.

It was nice to get started with the Bibliology class last week.  We had a total of 11 people who attended via zoom or in person.  Many of them have been working on their outline of the Bible and are making great progress.  This week we will start work on the biblical timelines.  It is always fun to watch expressions as they begin to see how things fit together.  Please pray for this group to grow in their knowledge of God’s word.

Sunday’s message was from Psalm 111.  This is an acrostic Psalm; after the introduction line…Praise the Lord…each line after starts with the next letter in the Hebrew alphabet.  The writer tells us that praise is to come from our heart, our whole heart.  We are to study His amazing works, from the enormity of the universe to the smallest of microscopic creatures.  The Lord is gracious and compassionate, the works of His hands are truth and justice.  His redemption of His people is amazing!   Because of all these amazing things we are to fear the Lord.  This does NOT mean that we should be afraid of Him…although that is part of it.  It is more than we reverence Him, that we are in awe of Him.  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  The Psalm ends as it began…Praise The Lord!

Pastor Kevin Hausman
