Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It has been a very busy time for us.  It began several weeks back with a trip to Wausau to get me started on a new heart medicine.  They had to monitor me for 3 days to make sure there were no bad side effects.  So far I’m doing well and no afib!  Next we headed to Kansas City to spend sometime w/ Leslie’s sister and her husband who was having surgery on his nose.  We were glad to be there and it appears the surgery went well.  They should be up here at the end of the week.

Last week, after church we headed to Two Harbors north of Duluth.  We took our camper and had a nice camp site right by the lake.  On Monday evening we drove back to Duluth and picked up our daughter Aimee, her husband Casey and our newest grandbaby – Kevin Curtis.  Because our camper has two bedrooms, they were able to all stay with us and we had a wonderful time.  Little Kevin is now about 9 months old and is a very funny and fun baby.  Aimee and Casey are doing a great job as parents.  We are home for a week before heading to Mackinac Island where we will meet Richard’s and Matt’s families.  Our son AJ is also flying in for the week.  It will be wonderful to visit with all of them and get to see 5 more grandkids.  In a couple of weeks, we’ll also have a visit from some of my brothers.  It is great showing off the sights of the UP!

Last week we also had our Village Missions mini-conference via Zoom.  It really was nice to see everyone and sad to say good by to Brian and Carole Wechsler as they are retiring from leadership with Village Missions.  Looking forward to having John Adams and his wife Candy as they take on that role now.   Good that we can at least see other village missionaries even if it is only on a computer screen.

Sunday’s message came from Psalm 31.  One of the main verses comes in verse 15 where we read…my times are in Your hands.  King David was going through a very difficult time when he wrote this…even at that difficult time he knew that all of us his life was in God’s very capable, and all powerful hands.  God is our rock and our fortress; we can trust Him in all times and all circumstances.  When we trust in Jesus, we can all have eternal hope in the Lord.

By God’s Amazing Grace,
Pastor Kevin Hausman
