Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

After turning off the heat in the church two Sundays ago, this Sunday we had to turn it back on.  We didn’t have a freeze, but it was pretty cool.  “They” say this week is supposed to be warmer, although it is cool and rainy now.  If you get a chance drive by and check out the new landscaping in the front of the church…it really looks nice!  It was great to have the doors open on Sunday.  We were spread out in the sanctuary and there was still room for more in the fellowship hall.  We even figured out a way to have communion together.  It was a great to be back together!  It looks like Marianne will get to come home in the next day or two; so glad she is doing better.  Please continue to pray for her and Ted.

Got to take a drive over to L’Anse Monday.  Incredibly beautiful with the trees leafing out.  We drove out to the town of Paquaming a little way from L’Anse.  Was a beautiful area to drive through and see for the first time.  Always fun to explore new places.  Leslie continues to recover from her fall a week and a half ago.  The bruise on her head is looking considerably better, having some concentration issues which is more frustrating for her than anything.  Please pray the Lord will help her through this time.

Sad to hear that Ted N.’s mom passed away this weekend.  The funeral for her will be on Friday.  Please pray for Ted and his family at this time.

Sunday’s message looked at Psalm 84.  Psalm 84:1–2 How lovely are Your dwelling places, O Lord of hosts! ² My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. I think we can relate to wanting to be in the Lord’s house with the Lord’s people.  We know that the important thing is not the building…it is also not the people in the building.  The important thing is the God that we worship…the God Who’s word is taught…that is what is important.  While His presence is everywhere, it is also good to be with others who are seeking Him.  God is to be the strength of our lives; we are to trust in Him and we are to desire to live and walk in His presence every day of our lives.
