Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It has been a very busy week for us again.  This past week started off in St. Ignace with 14 of our family on a camping trip together.  In the midst of cooking our first breakfast a pot of hot coffee got spilled on my granddaughter, Jenna who is 9.  One of my sons is a paramedic so he knew just what needed to be done and was a great help, and a calming influence for all of us.  We rushed her to the hospital, and they flew her down to Grand Rapids, then we had to drive my son down to be with his wife and daughter.  They continue to be there and will be for another week or so.  Prognosis is good, but it will be a rough few weeks for her.  We would appreciate your prayers for her and her family as they go through the recovery process.  It is amazing to see God’s hand at work in the midst of a difficult situation.

We ended up going through with our plans to go to Mackinac Island and other tourist things before all heading home on Wednesday.  It really was a wonderful time; it was great showing off the Keweenaw to my kids and grandkids who had never been up here.  They particularly enjoyed playing in Lake Superior, most every day.  It is sooo much warmer than it has been in past years.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Sue Solomonson this past week.  Her funeral was on Sunday evening and I gave the message.  It was nice to get to meet her kids and grandkids and to encourage them in God’s word.  Please pray for this family also as they go through this time of loss.

Sunday’s message looked at Psalm 145.  It is amazing how God worked out all things to focus on His greatness that Sunday.  From the music to the message, everything focused on the greatness of our God!  God’s greatness is unsearchable…beyond our comprehension.  He is the constant throughout all of life, throughout all of eternity.  He most certainly sustains us through every situation.  He is righteous/right in all of His ways.  His acts are truly mighty, we should always speak of His praise in all things and at all times!
