It's Friday and Sunday's Coming!!!
Come Join Us On March 10th
“Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him." - 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
It's hard to wrap your mind around the fact that God can use us and our weaknesses to spread the Gospel throughout the world. John MacArthur reminds us that the Disciples Jesus chose were the commonest of the common. They were fishermen, political activists, tax collectors, and fishermen. He selected twelve ordinary people to do extraordinary things through Him and for Him. Each of those chosen sat at the table for the Last Supper with Jesus before he was crucified. This Sunday we will continue our new series called "Sitting with Our Savior" as we review the character sketches of each disciple in the Last Supper picture. Part II of this series will cover the disciples Matthew, Jude (Thaddaeus), and Simon the Zealot. One of the resources used for this series is the book "Twelve Ordinary Men" by John MacArthur.
What gifts and personalities do you have that God can use to share the Gospel? Think of what you were before you accepted Christ and how you are now. Some of us were just common folk until His Light started to shine through us and was used by Him to shame the unbelievers Please join us to learn the traits of the men Jesus chose to spread His Message. COME AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY as we share God's Grace with all who call Grace Christian Fellowship their home.
Yours In Christ,
